3rd Generation Surveillance Sensor Suite (3G - 3S)
ST Electronics (Satcom & Sensor Systems)’s 3rd Generation Surveillance & Sensor Suite (3G -3S) is a complete coastal surveillance system. It comprises an overall maritime security system that includes vessel traffic navigation, port information configuration and radar sensors to track and detect illegal activities.
Integrated with command and control capabilities, the network centric 3G-3S is an intelligent system that functions as a crises management platform to handle search & rescue, oil spill, piracy and terrorism.
An enhanced Vessel Traffic Services (VTS+++) or Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS+++) which is competitively priced and has more comprehensive functions and features than the conventional VTS or VTMS.
Used as a command station on board the command ship of the Port Authority for any crisis operations such as Search-and-Rescue and the cleaning of oil spills.
An enhanced coastal surveillance system (CSS+++) for detecting illegal vessels or boats.
iPDS makes use of the shipboard radar system for 24/7 surveillance of the adjacent sea targets. The operator defines and sets up a guard zone around the ship. iPDS will employ “TBD” technique to scan through the guard zone to check for possible pirate boats or terrorist activities.
