Singapore, 29 December 2016 — Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics) announced that its telecom systems arm, OrisTel Systems Pte. Ltd. (OrisTel), has been appointed by Norway-based Smartoptics as its first value-added regional distributor of optical transceivers and optical transport networking products to corporate data centres, government and enterprise customers in the Asia Pacific region.
The partnership with Smartoptics enhances OrisTel’s current portfolio of innovative telecommunication infrastructure solutions, and offers end users in the region access to Smartoptics’ user-friendly and cost-effective Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) solutions. Its range of Open Optical Transceivers is re-programmable to offer flexibility, reducing time, cost and constraints when network requirements change.
